Fare Add-ons

This post outlines the adjustments we make to published air fares to calculate fair air fares.

Principle:
We don't like nasty surprises and think the following should be included in all air fares, at the time of purchase.

• airline-imposed compulsory surcharges
• 20kg (44lbs) checked baggage allowance
• purchase online by credit card
• some food and drink on routes where the flights are generally 3 hours or longer

At the moment there are no medium/long flights in our coverage, and thus there are no food and beverage charges being applied.
